The ISO 9001 Certificate is issued by an accredited certification body that reviews and approves the quality management system, its establishment and its implementation, according to International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9000 Family) standards. Samsung C&T’s E&C Group first acquired the certification in 1994, and has been maintaining it by renewing the certification every three years, with the most recent renewal completed in May 2024.

ISO 29001 is a specialized quality management system developed by the international oil and gas industry under the leadership of the American Petroleum Institute (API) in 2003, which reflects the requirements of the oil, petrochemical, and natural gas sectors. Samsung C&T’s E&C Group became the first in Korea to acquire the latest ISO 29001:2020 certification in May 2021, an achievement which has secured its quality competitiveness in the oil and natural gas fields and led the quality standards in the construction industry.

ISO 19443 is a quality management system that applies ISO 9001, an international standard for quality, to the nuclear energy sector. In particular, it includes additional requirements in the supply chain of the nuclear energy sector including management of products and services important to nuclear safety (ITNS), establishment of safety culture, graded approach to the application of quality requirements, and prevention of counterfeit and fraudulent. More and more cases are requiring to obtain this certification in order to export nuclear power plants.
Samsung C&T's E&C Group first obtained this certification on January 9, 2025.

The ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Certificate objectively proves that a company is qualified to perform the construction, design, and fabrication of safe nuclear power facilities according to ASME standards (the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code). It is a prerequisite for participating in prequalification (PQ) for bidding on overseas nuclear power plant projects, and can grant additional points for some large-scale overseas projects.
Samsung C&T’s E&C Group first acquired the certification in February 1991, and has continuously maintained the certification in the fields of NA (nuclear assembly, nuclear component installation), and NPT (nuclear parts, nuclear parts manufacturing) by renewing the certificate every three years.

The Korean nuclear certificate is issued when the construction and quality assurance activities in nuclear power generation meet the Korea Electric Power Industry Code (KEPIC) established by the Korea Electric Association. Samsung C&T’s E&C Group first acquired the certification in 1997 and has continuously maintained it in the fields of MN (machinery nuclear), EN (electrical nuclear), SN (structural nuclear), and MH (nuclear HVAC) by renewing the certificate every three years.
