E&C Group has refined the eco-friendly purchasing management guidelines, which govern its green purchasing, and established processes for selecting eco-friendly product categories, defining the roles of purchasing and environmental departments, and outlining the responsibilities of partner companies. To streamline the verification of eco-friendly product information during the purchasing process, the company has implemented a partner company eco-friendly materials registration system and an eco-friendly materials identification system, allowing for real-time aggregation and analysis. Building on this foundation, E&C Group is committed to leading the industry as an eco-friendly construction company by setting mid- to long-term eco-friendly purchasing targets and continuously expanding its procurement scope.
Samsung C&T's E&C Group is prioritizing the procurement of eco-friendly materials, focusing on resource-saving materials such as high-efficiency energy equipment, interior finishing materials, water-saving facilities, and devices. It is particularly committed to contributing to resource conservation and environmental impact reduction by expanding its purchasing of primary materials with eco-friendly certifications, such as rebar and thermal insulation materials. E&C Group plans to continually increase the range and volume of eco-friendly products purchased.
